Blaufrankisch is a must, exceptionally also a table grape variety. It is a very old variety, which according to some sources is of German origin, but others consider Lower Austria to be its origin. It was entered in the State Variety Book in 1941.
The color of the wine is light and dark ruby with purple flashes, in young wine there is a grassy aroma that changes to blackberry aromas as the wine matures, the taste is harder, with fresh acid and higher tannins, spicy, fruity, soft and velvety in mature wines. In the aroma and taste, we can look for blackberries, plums and black cherries, stone fruit kernels and cinnamon.
